How it’s built. Total registered tourist-accommodation bed capacity (hotels and similar establishments plus campsites, holiday rentals, agritourism, hostels, B&Bs and other collective accommodation), ISTAT's comune-level capacity survey, 2024. This is installed capacity (how many beds exist), not realized occupancy (see the seasonality-index and peak-visitor-multiplier layers for how full those beds actually get across the year) — a comune can have a large bed capacity that sits mostly empty, or a small one that's booked solid.
