How it’s built. Life expectancy at birth (age Y_LT1, both sexes) per NUTS 2 region (roughly region-equivalent), Eurostat's own demo_r_mlifexp dataset, 2023 — chosen for the best numeric coverage of any year in 2019-2024 after 2019 itself, which is seven years stale.
